Role: Field Engineer
Location: Petaluma, CA
Salary: $70k-100k
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Field Engineer to support a variety of construction and infrastructure projects in the Petaluma area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving real-world engineering challenges, and collaborating with diverse teams to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field inspections, data collection, and site assessments to support engineering designs and construction activities.
- Assist in the implementation of project plans, specifications, and quality control procedures.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure timely and accurate execution of fieldwork.
- Monitor site safety, environmental compliance, and construction progress.
- Prepare daily field reports, document findings, and communicate updates to the project team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant field experience preferred (internships or co-ops count).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing site conditions.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with field tools, GPS, and basic engineering software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, etc.).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally to project sites.
Preferred Attributes:
- EIT certification or working toward licensure.
- Familiarity with California construction codes and environmental regulations.
- Enthusiasm for hands-on work and continuous learning in the field.
