An established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for sitework, earthwork, utilities, and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who ensures safety, quality, and production goals are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day field operations, crew management, and equipment coordination.
- Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, inspectors, vendors, and project management.
- Monitor progress, resolve field issues, and adjust schedules or resources as needed.
- Maintain daily reports, track quantities, and support project documentation.
- Uphold the company's safety, quality, and productivity standards on all job sites.
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of field leadership experience in heavy civil, sitework, or utility construction.
- Strong understanding of earthwork, grading, utility installation, and related scopes.
- Ability to read construction drawings and interpret specifications.
- Proven ability to lead crews, manage equipment, and maintain production targets.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- OSHA certifications or safety training preferred.
