A leading multidisciplinary design firm is seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Project Manager to lead transportation and civil engineering projects from concept through completion. The Senior Transportation Project Manager will oversee multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and public agencies, and manage the delivery of safe, efficient, and innovative transportation solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead mid‑ to large‑scale transportation projects from initial setup through planning, safety analysis, and project kickoff.
- Manage project budgets, scopes, schedules, and staffing to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Direct design strategy and collaborate with internal teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Oversee project billing, client communication, QA/QC of deliverables, and project closeout activities.
- Provide clear leadership, mentorship, and motivation to project teams.
- Prepare competitive project proposals and serve as the primary client contact.
- Support business development efforts by promoting the firm's capabilities and cultivating long‑term client relationships.
- Navigate municipal approvals and complex public processes.
- Represent the firm in professional organizations and community initiatives.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in civil transportation engineering, including managing DOT‑funded highway, bridge, or traffic projects.
- Proven track record of building trusted, long‑term client relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with MicroStation is preferred.
- Familiarity with PennDOT design standards is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking, judgment, and organizational skills.
- Ability to proactively lead projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
