Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams in delivering comprehensive, accurate construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and material selections
  • Collaborate across disciplines with internal teams, consultants, contractors, clients, and agencies to achieve project goals
  • Contribute to all phases of project delivery, including design, documentation, and construction administration
  • Integrate sustainable design strategies into project solutions
  • Ensure clear, timely communication between clients and project teams
  • Manage projects using internal systems, including developing work plans and overseeing budgets, schedules, and fees
  • Support business development efforts, including proposals, letters of interest (LOIs), and market research
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
  • Engage with industry events, conferences, and community activities to expand professional networks
  • Contribute to office initiatives, professional development programs, and mentorship of junior staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
  • Registered Architect (Illinois preferred); NCARB certification a plus
  • 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in project management
  • Experience working across multiple sectors (Education, Commercial, Transit, Municipal, Industrial preferred)
  • Proven success developing new business and maintaining client relationships
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Demonstrated construction administration experience (RFIs, submittals, contractor coordination, construction contracts)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, SketchUp, and other modeling/rendering tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to quality
