Job Summary:
A seasoned Project Lead & Senior Mechanical Engineer is sought to lead high-impact healthcare projects in the Atlanta area and across the Southeast. This role combines technical leadership, client engagement, and project management, contributing to the success of large-scale healthcare and mission-critical facilities. Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Project Delivery
- Provide technical expertise and oversight for mechanical engineering projects
- Lead the design and development of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for healthcare and mission-critical facilities
- Ensure compliance with building codes, energy standards, and sustainability best practices
- Oversee project quality control and contribute to peer reviews
Client & Business Development
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, shaping solutions to meet their needs
- Collaborate with business development teams to pursue opportunities in the Southeast
- Participate in proposal development, interviews, and client presentations
Team Mentorship & Collaboration
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and growth
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align technical best practices and contribute to thought leadership
Requirements:
Expertise and Abilities
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and HVAC design
- Experience with healthcare facility systems required
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), with ability to obtain licensure in Georgia or the Carolinas
- Proven experience leading complex projects from concept through construction
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and engineering analysis tools
- Strong understanding of ASHRAE standards, energy codes, and healthcare-specific design requirements
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring engineers
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Travel will be local to Atlanta averaging about 10-15% travel
