Project Manager - Land Development
A well-established civil engineering and land development firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Southern California team in Cardiff. This role offers the opportunity to lead diverse residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects while collaborating with a talented group of professionals in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Develop scopes, budgets, and schedules in coordination with clients and leadership.
- Monitor financial performance and manage staffing, timelines, and change orders.
- Oversee daily execution of projects, ensuring quality and operational efficiency.
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients, agencies, and consultants.
Technical Leadership
- Lead site development design including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater systems.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Resolve complex technical challenges with innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews and provide technical guidance to the team.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor engineers and designers.
- Assign tasks, manage workloads, and support professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture.
Administrative & Business Development
- Ensure adherence to company policies and quality standards.
- Participate in client engagement and proposal development.
- Attend internal meetings and contribute to firm-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- California PE license strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of land development experience, including 3-5 years in project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bluebeam.
- Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
- Familiarity with Southern California entitlement and permitting processes.
