Salary Range: $110,000 - $165,000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to support complex site remediation projects across a diverse portfolio of RCRA and CERCLA‑regulated sites. This role focuses heavily on the preparation and oversight of Remedial Investigations and Feasibility Studies (RI/FS), remedial design, and cost estimating for a variety of environmental media and contaminant types.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong engineer who can independently author and review RI/FS documents, evaluate remedial alternatives, and develop engineered solutions, while working collaboratively with project managers, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and author Remedial Investigation / Feasibility Study (RI/FS) reports in compliance with CERCLA, RCRA, and applicable state programs
- Perform remedial oversight, including evaluation of site investigation data, remedy selection, and implementation support
- Develop and evaluate feasibility study alternatives, including screening, detailed analysis, and comparative evaluation of remedial technologies
- Prepare engineering designs for remedial systems (soil, groundwater, vapor intrusion, sediment, and related technologies)
- Develop remedial cost estimates and support lifecycle cost analyses for proposed remedies
- Coordinate with project teams to support regulatory interactions, technical reviews, and agency submittals
- Utilize CADD software to prepare design drawings, figures, and technical exhibits
- Provide technical input to work plans, remedial action plans, and related engineering documents
- Support quality control/quality assurance (QA/QC) reviews of technical deliverables
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal technical best practices, as appropriate
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing RI/FS reports for RCRA and/or CERCLA sites
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state remediation frameworks, including EPA guidance
- Experience with engineering design of remedial technologies
- Proficiency with CADD (AutoCAD or similar)
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote consulting environment
- Excellent technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with complex or multi‑site remediation programs
- Familiarity with innovative or emerging remedial technologies
- Prior consulting experience supporting industrial, federal, or Superfund clients
