Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer with a strong background in Rockwell Automation platforms, particularly Allen-Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk View SE and ME. This hybrid role will be based out of our Hopedale, Massachusetts facility, offering a mix of on-site and remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement automation systems using Rockwell Automation technologies.
Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, etc.).
Develop and maintain HMI/SCADA systems using FactoryTalk View SE and ME.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and maintenance to support automation initiatives.
Conduct testing, validation, and commissioning of control systems.
Provide technical support for automation-related issues in the facility.
Maintain documentation for electrical schematics, programming logic, and system configuration.
Ensure systems comply with relevant safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation products.
Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLC programming (RSLogix 5000 / Studio 5000).
Experience developing HMI applications with FactoryTalk View SE and ME.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, etc.).
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing or process automation environments.
Knowledge of motion control and VFDs.
Familiarity with scripting or additional automation platforms is a plus.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence at our Hopedale, MA facility for system integration, commissioning, and support tasks, with flexibility for remote work depending on project needs.
