Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Lead field execution of large‑scale BAS projects for critical environment facilities
- Provide hands‑on programming, engineering, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems
- Supervise and mentor field technicians and engineers, ensuring quality and consistency across sites
- Serve as the technical authority on assigned projects, resolving complex system and integration issues
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to meet schedule and performance requirements
- Review drawings, sequences of operation, submittals, and control strategies
- Support system startup, functional testing, and integrated systems testing
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry best practices
- Travel nationwide as required to support project execution and client needs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Building Automation Systems or HVAC controls
- Prior experience in a field leadership, supervisory, or lead technician role
- Strong background supporting critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, labs, or industrial facilities
- Proven experience with BAS programming, engineering, and commissioning
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in fast‑paced environments
- Strong communication skills and customer‑facing professionalism
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, HVAC, or a related field
- OEM or manufacturer training and certifications
- Experience leading commissioning or startup teams
- Familiarity with redundancy, high‑availability systems, and mission‑critical operational standards
Technical Competencies
- Building Automation Systems including large, enterprise‑level platforms
- HVAC controls, airside and waterside systems, and central plant operations
- BAS programming, graphics development, and database management
- Open protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks
- Integration of mechanical, electrical, and life‑safety systems
- Commissioning tools, diagnostics, and network troubleshooting
Work Environment and Travel
- Hybrid work environment with a mix of remote work and on‑site field support
- Nationwide travel required based on project needs
- Work performed in active critical facilities requiring attention to safety, documentation, and uptime
