Senior Civil Engineer / Designer
About the Role
We are working closely with a client who is expanding and looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer / Civil Designer to join their dynamic team in Brisbane. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of civil infrastructure and land development projects, contributing to innovative and sustainable design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver civil design documentation for urban development, stormwater, and infrastructure projects.
- Undertake hydrological and hydraulic modelling using DRAINS and MUSIC.
- Prepare detailed design models using 12D or 3D modelling software.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, surveyors, and environmental consultants.
- Ensure compliance with local council and state government standards and guidelines.
- Support project managers with technical input, reporting, and client liaison.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in civil design, particularly in urban development or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in DRAINS, MUSIC, and 12D or equivalent 3D civil design software.
- Strong understanding of Australian design standards and local council requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Attributes
- RPEQ registration or working towards it.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or GIS tools.
- Familiarity with sustainable drainage systems and water-sensitive urban design (WSUD) principles.
