Senior Controls Engineer
We're searching for a forward thinking and client-facing Senior Controls Engineer/Project Manager to support the operation and maintenance of Distributed Control Systems within a mission-critical facility.
This role involves managing projects that integrate
various building automation systems, industrial controls, sub-metering systems, and operator interfaces to ensure seamless operations.
Sample Projects
* Adding instrumentation and integrating it into control systems.
* Replacing outdated control system panels.
* Troubleshooting and proposing solutions for malfunctioning devices.
* Reviewing systems and recommending spare parts procurement.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on control systems, providing guidance to stakeholders.
* Collaborate with a team of engineers and technicians, offering mentorship and technical expertise.
* Design and implement continuous improvement projects for control systems.
* Program PLC and HMI systems to optimize functionality.
* Troubleshoot control system issues and oversee field office operations.
* Coordinate project schedules and review reports.
* Supervise control technicians in calibration and maintenance of key devices.
* Provide PLC system software support, including updates and patch installations.
* Engage with clients to align engineering solutions with business needs.
* Ensure projects comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications
* 10+ years of industry experience.
* 5+ years of experience with Allen Bradley / Rockwell industrial controls.
* Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent relevant experience).
* Experience with HMI/SCADA systems (preferably ICONICS GENESIS64).
* Familiarity with boilers, chillers, pumps, valves, and automation systems.
* Management and control system design experience (preferred).
* Strong communication and project management skills.
