Job Description - Senior Project Manager (Pharmaceutical CapEx Projects)

A highly regarded life sciences consulting organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager with significant experience managing capital expenditure (CapEx) projects within the pharmaceutical industry. This role is critical in overseeing the planning, execution, and financial control of a complex Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) and Automation initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and financial tracking systems.

  • Coordinate efforts across cross-functional teams, including CQV, engineering, construction, and automation.

  • Lead project reporting, providing regular updates on milestones, risks, and budget performance to key stakeholders.

  • Deliver monthly reports on project schedules and costs, including cash flow forecasts and resource utilization.

  • Facilitate effective communication between construction, engineering, and validation stakeholders.

  • Manage change control processes, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.

  • Implement robust risk management practices to mitigate delays and cost overruns.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience managing CapEx projects within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of CQV processes and regulatory compliance.

  • Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project).

  • Experience leading large-scale automation projects is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • PMP certification is preferred.

Compensation:

Estimated U.S. Salary Range:
$102,410 - $159,000 USD
Actual salary may vary based on experience, qualifications, location, and market conditions.
