Senior Engineer - Power Generation

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to support the design, analysis, and execution of power generation and energy infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership throughout project lifecycles, from conceptual development and detailed engineering through construction and commissioning.

This position involves working closely with multidisciplinary project teams, clients, utilities, and contractors to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for conventional and emerging energy projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering and design activities for power generation projects.
  • Develop and review engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and design packages.
  • Support the design of plant systems, balance-of-plant equipment, utility interconnections, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and I&C disciplines throughout project execution.
  • Interface directly with clients and project stakeholders to ensure technical and project objectives are met.
  • Participate in equipment selection, system evaluations, and design reviews.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Assist with construction support, field investigations, startup activities, and commissioning efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and client requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting power generation, utility, industrial, or energy infrastructure projects.
  • Experience leading engineering tasks and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design principles, equipment specifications, and project execution.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • PE license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.

Preferred Experience

  • Conventional power generation facilities.
  • Combined-cycle and simple-cycle generation projects.
  • Utility and industrial energy infrastructure.
  • EPC, EPCM, consulting engineering, or owner's engineer environments.
  • Project leadership, client management, and business development support.

Location: Remote

Travel: Occasional travel for client meetings, site visits, and commissioning support.
