Our client is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant with a strong background in contaminated land assessment and remediation to join their Brisbane-based team.
About the Role
As a senior member of their environmental consulting team, you'll lead and deliver contaminated land projects across Queensland and beyond. You'll work closely with clients from both public and private sectors, providing expert advice, managing field programs, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead contaminated land investigations, risk assessments, and remediation projects.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports and deliverables in line with regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic advice to clients on environmental risk and compliance.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
- Support business development through proposal writing and client engagement.
- Mentor and develop junior consultants.
About You
- Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in contaminated land consulting.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation and guidelines (e.g., NEPM, EP Act).
- Proven experience in site investigations, risk assessments, and remediation strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- CEnvP (Site Contamination Specialist) or working towards it is highly regarded.
