As a Senior Exterior Restoration Estimator, you will serve as a key technical leader-owning the estimating process for major restoration projects and influencing strategic bid decisions. Key Responsibilities
Lead Estimating & Preconstruction
- Produce accurate, detailed estimates for exterior restoration projects including façade restoration, masonry repair, concrete rehabilitation, waterproofing, roofing, curtain wall remediation, and related scopes.
- Develop project-specific quantity takeoffs, cost breakdowns, job phasing, and means & methods.
- Prepare proposals, budgets, and bid packages with a high degree of accuracy and technical insight.
Technical Expertise & Risk Analysis
- Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions to identify constructability considerations, material selections, and logistical challenges.
- Evaluate subcontractor input, scope inclusions/exclusions, and project risks.
- Provide expert recommendations to leadership on bid strategy, margin decisions, and competitive positioning.
Collaboration & Client Engagement
- Work directly with clients, engineers, building owners, property managers, and design consultants throughout the preconstruction and bid process.
- Support project managers and operations teams in project handoffs and preconstruction planning.
- Represent the company at presentations and industry events as needed.
Process Development & Leadership
- Improve workflow efficiency by refining estimating standards, templates, tools, and best practices.
- Mentor junior estimators and contribute to building a high‑performing preconstruction team.
- Play a strategic role as the company expands into new verticals, service lines, and geographic markets.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in estimating exterior restoration, façade repair, or building‑envelope projects.
- Strong understanding of historic preservation, high‑rise work, structural repairs, waterproofing systems, and restoration methodologies.
- Proficiency with construction estimating software and takeoff tools.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
