Structural Engineer
My client in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a strong background in both commercial and residential design. The ideal candidate will bring at least 4+ years of engineering experience and hold an active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. This role involves working closely with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver safe, efficient, and innovative structural solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for commercial, residential, and mixed‑use building projects.
- Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Review and stamp structural plans in accordance with current building codes and industry standards.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and structural assessments as needed.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop cost‑effective, constructible design solutions.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors throughout all project phases.
- Prepare reports, submittals, and documentation for permitting and regulatory approval.
- Mentor junior engineers and review work for accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- 4+ years of structural engineering experience, with proven work in both commercial and residential sectors.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, RAM, or similar).
- Strong understanding of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and other applicable codes.
- Experience preparing construction documents and engineering calculations.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
