We are partnering with a nationally recognized, industry‑leading builder to appoint a Senior General Superintendent for one of the region's most significant hyperscale data center programs. What You Will Do
As Senior General Superintendent, you will serve as the key field leader, responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all site activities on high‑value hyperscale data center projects. You will:
Field Leadership & Execution
- Lead and mentor a team of superintendents across multiple work fronts on a large‑scale data center campus.
- Ensure trade partners deliver high‑quality work aligned with demanding schedules and strict technical requirements.
- Oversee full site logistics, planning, coordination, and construction sequencing for mission‑critical environments.
Technical & Project Delivery Responsibilities
- Interpret and manage highly technical design documents, MEP-intensive scopes, and commissioning requirements.
- Proactively identify design conflicts, constructability issues, and potential schedule risks.
- Manage general conditions budgets, field staffing, and site services.
- Drive site-wide coordination on shutdowns, energizations, tie-ins, and turnover milestones.
Safety & Quality
- Act as the primary safety leader on-site, upholding a culture where zero‑incident performance is the expectation.
- Enforce all company and client safety protocols, particularly around high-voltage, mechanical, and critical-path operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality plans, especially around critical systems installation and testing.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with hyperscale clients, trade partners, local authorities, and union/non-union labor.
- Lead site meetings, deliver schedule updates, and maintain transparent communication with project and executive teams.
What We're Looking For
Experience
- 15+ years overseeing major commercial, industrial, or mission‑critical projects, with recent experience on $100M+ data center builds strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing large project teams and complex trade sequencing.
- Background in MEP-heavy construction, commissioning, or high-tech facilities is a strong asset.
Education
- BS/MS in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise across all divisions of work, including structural, envelope, MEP, commissioning, and controls.
- Strong leadership presence: able to motivate teams while upholding accountability.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both field teams and executive stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of safety standards and ability to foster a true "safety-first" culture.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management platforms (Procore experience preferred).
- OSHA 30 certification.
