As we expand our footprint across the western U.S., we are excited to open a new office in Denver, Colorado. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead this new location and play a pivotal role in shaping its growth and success.
Role Overview
As the Senior Geotechnical Engineer and Denver Office Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Launching and managing the Denver office, including hiring, mentoring, and developing a high-performing local team.
- Leading geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage) and other infrastructure developments.
- Collaborating with internal R&D teams to integrate cutting-edge geotechnical solutions into project delivery.
- Managing client relationships, project budgets, and schedules across multiple concurrent projects.
- Supporting business development efforts and expanding our presence in the western U.S. market.
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead on complex geotechnical engineering projects.
- Oversee field investigations, laboratory testing programs, and geotechnical analysis.
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and construction recommendations.
- Coordinate with structural, civil, and environmental teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- PE license required; Colorado PE or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum 8-10 years of geotechnical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or project management role.
- Proven experience in renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, communication, and business development skills.
