About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team specializing in mission-critical infrastructure. This is a fully remote opportunity, open to candidates located anywhere within the United States. You will play a key role in the design and delivery of mechanical systems for high-performance environments such as data centers, laboratories, and other complex facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and engineering of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for mission-critical facilities.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including electrical, structural, and controls engineers.
- Perform system calculations, equipment selection, and layout design using tools like Revit, AutoCAD, and energy modeling software.
- Review and approve technical documentation, specifications, and construction submittals.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
- Interface directly with clients to understand project requirements and deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and sustainability goals (ASHRAE, LEED, etc.).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on mission-critical or high-performance buildings.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical system modeling tools.
- Strong understanding of building codes, energy standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
