Salary Range: $100,000 - $170,000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview:
A nationally recognized environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Solid Waste Engineer to lead complex civil and environmental engineering projects across the Western U.S. This role involves managing solid waste infrastructure, remediation efforts, and regulatory compliance for clients across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering projects related to landfills, transfer stations, and solid waste facilities
- Design containment systems, leachate and landfill gas management infrastructure
- Oversee site remediation projects, including corrective measures and emerging contaminant strategies
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and reporting
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies
- Prepare technical documentation including work plans, health & safety plans, and closure reports
- Support business development efforts and mentor junior staff
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in solid waste and remediation
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license with ability to obtain licensure in additional states
- Proven success managing projects, budgets, and client relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel to client sites and regional offices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, Leapfrog, or similar tools is a plus
- Clean driving record
