Solar Superintendent

The Position

Operational Planning & Management

• Work in a collaborative partnership with the Project Manager, sharing mutual accountability
• Lead field teams including tradespeople, foremen, and subcontractors
• Assist in resolving construction challenges such as productivity issues and work interface conflicts
• Review construction plans and drawings
• Order, schedule, and coordinate material deliveries
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors whose work impacts project execution
• Foster a positive work environment through professional communication with clients, subcontractors, coworkers, and management
• Mentor Foremen and Project Engineers to support individual and organizational growth
• Accountable to Foreman/Lead Foreman for:
  • Safety
  • Planning and communication
  • Personnel management
  • Materials, tools, and equipment
  • Jobsite environment

• Overall responsibility for labor and equipment costs
• Assist with job procurement, estimating, and pre‑construction planning
• Ensure work quality meets both company and client expectations
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
• Minimum of:
  • 10 years of Foreman experience, or
  • 5 years of Superintendent or Construction Manager experience
• Technical or secondary education in a related field preferred
• Electrical construction experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including facilitation, diplomacy, and influence
• Solid understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards, and how they impact project execution
