Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN (Full-time, Remote-Hybrid flexibility)


Role Summary

As an Environmental Scienist, you will play a key role in guiding projects through complex environmental regulations, ensuring compliance and timely approvals. You'll work with a multidisciplinary team serving clients in energy, utilities, and infrastructure, helping them achieve project goals while protecting natural resources.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate environmental permitting activities with federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct field surveys and review technical reports for compliance.
  • Advise clients and internal teams on permitting strategies and regulatory requirements.
  • Track project timelines and budgets to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Maintain adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental permitting or compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of permitting regulations for wetlands, endangered species, stormwater, and cultural resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consulting experience with energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with NEPA and state-level environmental review processes.
  • Experience with renewable energy permitting.
