Staff Level Remediation Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Remediation Engineer to support site investigation, remediation, and environmental compliance projects. This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to grow their technical expertise in environmental engineering and contribute to meaningful environmental restoration efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of environmental site assessments (Phase I and II ESAs).
- Support the design and implementation of soil, groundwater, and vapor remediation systems.
- Collect and analyze environmental samples in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare technical reports, work plans, and regulatory submittals under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, laboratories, and field teams to ensure quality and safety.
- Contribute to data interpretation, risk assessments, and remediation strategy development.
- Stay current with environmental regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in environmental consulting, remediation, or related fieldwork.
- Familiarity with environmental sampling techniques and remediation technologies.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Nice to Have
- Experience with environmental modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, Visual MODFLOW, or similar).
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA).
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
- EIT certification or on track for PE licensure.
