Structural Engineer in Training (EIT)
Company Summary: We are seeking an immediate hire to join a leading Structural Engineering company based in Sandy or Tooele, Utah. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, a results-driven mindset, and a desire to contribute to an energetic and talented team.
The Structural Engineer in Training will be responsible for:
- Assist in drafting and designing structural plans for commercial and residential projects under the guidance of senior engineers and the Project Manager
- Perform preliminary wind load calculations and research alternative products and materials to optimize designs.
- Review building codes and standards to ensure compliance in all design work
- Support construction administration tasks, including field visits, responding to RFIs, and preparing revisions
- Maintain accurate project logs and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and clients using project management software
The Structural Engineer in Training should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Structural or Civil preferred)
- 0-5 years of experience in structural engineering or a related field
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Enercalc (or similar tools)
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset
