Job Title: Structural Inspection Team Lead- Norwood, MA
Overview
Urgent need to bring on a Structural Inspection Team Lead to oversee and conduct inspections of various structural assets, including bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure. This role involves leading field teams, coordinating inspection activities, analyzing structural conditions, and preparing detailed reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil or structural engineering and experience managing inspection projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead field teams in performing structural inspections of bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure
- Plan and coordinate inspection schedules, logistics, and safety protocols
- Conduct visual and hands-on inspections, including use of specialized equipment
- Analyze inspection findings and prepare technical reports with recommendations
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements
- Train and mentor junior inspectors and engineers
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and internal teams regarding project status and findings
- Support proposal development and project budgeting
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering field
- Experience in structural inspections, preferably with leadership responsibilities
- Familiarity with inspection standards and reporting practices
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in field conditions and travel as needed
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- NICET certification preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Comfortable with climbing, lifting, and working at heights
- Capable of standing for extended periods and navigating uneven terrain
