Substation Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead substation construction projects from start to finish. This role focuses on planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to client specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety, Quality & Project Management:

    • Review RFPs, proposals, estimates, schedules, and contract documents.
    • Coordinate outage schedules, permits, and job layouts with operations teams.
    • Oversee material deliveries, tracking, and communication with customers.
    • Ensure crews have required vehicles, equipment, and tools on-site.
    • Develop and review project safety plans with S&Q department and submit to customers.
  • Customer Relations:

    • Deliver exceptional client service and exceed expectations.
    • Resolve project issues promptly with owners, engineers, and subcontractors.
    • Manage day-to-day customer interactions and conduct final project walk-downs.
  • Internal/External Communication:

    • Lead pre-construction planning and meetings.
    • Attend progress meetings and conduct weekly site visits.
    • Coordinate with customers, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Financial Management:

    • Prepare weekly revenue and cost reports.
    • Review monthly financial projections with Accounting.
    • Manage change orders and track project costs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience (Electric Utility preferred).
  • Project Management Certification desired.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and MS Project.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Local to Pennsylvania preferred; ability to travel regularly.
