A leading general contractor specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of treatment plants, pump stations, and lift stations in the Atlanta area. This role is ideal for professionals with a proven track record managing complex civil projects in the municipal utility sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead field operations for water/wastewater treatment plant, pump station, and lift station construction projects
  • Coordinate daily activities of crews and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery
  • Interpret and implement project plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Manage equipment, materials, and scheduling to meet project milestones
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and utility owners
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Resolve field issues and proactively address project challenges
  • Oversee quality control, inspections, and project documentation

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a superintendent in water/wastewater construction
  • Strong knowledge of treatment plant, pump station, and lift station construction methods
  • Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and mechanical drawings
  • Proven leadership skills managing crews and subcontractors
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and municipal regulations
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with project management software and field reporting tools
