We are working with a client that is seeking experienced and motivated Survey Crew Chief to lead field survey operations in Grand Junction and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable professional with strong technical skills and leadership abilities to contribute to a variety of civil, construction, and land development projects.
Position: Survey Crew Chief
Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Compensation: $29.00- $34.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours based on project demands
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage field crews performing boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking surveys
Operate and maintain survey equipment including Trimble GPS units, robotic total stations, and data collectors
Ensure accurate field data collection, complete detailed field notes, and communicate effectively with office and project staff
Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment on all job sites
Mentor and train junior field staff
Coordinate daily assignments and manage time and resources efficiently
