We're partnering with a respected organization in the surveying and infrastructure sector to recruit an experienced Survey Department Manager / Project Manager. This is a senior leadership role overseeing the entire survey department and driving excellence across projects.
Role Overview
You will:
- Lead and manage survey teams, ensuring projects meet high standards, deadlines, and budgets.
- Develop technical standards and guidelines for the department.
- Oversee quality control for all survey projects.
- Support business development through proposals and marketing initiatives.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
- Manage technical, legal, and financial aspects of the department, including contract review and negotiation.
- Define project objectives and resource needs, and resolve critical issues with stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at key functions, conferences, and client meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a primary point of contact.
- Conduct presentations and participate in media engagements as needed.
- Collaborate with organizational leaders, clients, contractors, and officials to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Education: BS degree in a survey-related field (ABET accredited preferred).
- Licensing: Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) required.
- Membership in a professional or technical society preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with survey tools/software.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience: 10+ years of professional experience preferred.
