Survey Office Leader
Our client, a highly regarded and nationally established geospatial and surveying firm, is seeking an Office Leader to guide operations and expand market presence across Eastern North Carolina. This role is ideal for a proven leader who can balance operational oversight, business development, and client engagement. Backed by strong regional support and an existing backlog, this position offers both immediate impact and the opportunity to build and shape a new team in the Charlotte and Raleigh area.
The Office Leader will be responsible for:
- Driving the growth and development of the Raleigh and Charlotte offices, with flexibility for partial remote work
- Building a strong client portfolio throughout Eastern North Carolina while strengthening current relationships
- Overseeing daily operations including staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and overall resource planning
- Working closely with regional leaders and project managers to execute localized growth strategies
- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team spanning Survey, SUE, Utility Coordination, and Fiber Engineering
- Serving as a primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring outstanding communication and long-term satisfaction
- Partnering with business development staff to evaluate new opportunities, support proposals, and drive revenue expansion
- Monitoring project delivery, QA/QC processes, safety performance, and client feedback
- Fostering a culture focused on retention, professional development, and high employee engagement
- Coordinating with area operations and nearby offices to share resources, pursue work, and streamline delivery
The ideal candidate will have:
- Professional experience in land surveying, geospatial services, or a related technical field with a leadership component
- A history of winning major work and successfully managing complex projects
- Demonstrated capability building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to decision-makers
- A Professional Surveyor License or Engineering License preferred
