T&D Estimator
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator for a top ranked utility client in Columbus, Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for transmission and distribution projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
- Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction methods.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of estimating databases and tools.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating for transmission and distribution projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction methods and materials.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
