About the Opportunity

We are partnered with a growing, multidisciplinary planning and engineering firm expanding its footprint in Texas. The firm has a strong reputation in community planning, master planning, and public-sector consulting, and is actively investing in building out its traffic and transportation capabilities in the region.

This role is a unique opportunity for a mid-level Transportation Planner / Traffic Engineer (PE) to step into a highly visible position and help shape and grow the firm's traffic planning practice in Texas, with full backing and technical support from established teams in other states.

Position Overview

The Traffic Planner will serve as a key technical and strategic contributor across a diverse portfolio of projects focused on municipalities, counties, and regional agencies.

This individual will lead traffic and transportation planning efforts, contribute to broader master planning and community planning initiatives, and help expand the firm's presence across Texas.

This is an ideal role for someone with 8-15 years of experience looking for increased ownership, client exposure, and the ability to build a practice area, without needing to be at the late-career principal level.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with public-sector stakeholders

What Makes This Role Unique

  • Opportunity to build and lead a traffic planning function within a respected planning-focused firm
  • Exposure to both technical traffic work and high-level planning strategy
  • Backed by established national expertise, without heavy corporate structure
  • Strong pipeline of municipal and county projects
  • Ideal step for a professional looking to transition from execution into leadership and influence
