Traffic Project Manager
A well‑established Arizona-based traffic and transportation consulting firm is seeking a Traffic Project Manager to support and grow its traffic design team in Tucson. With a strong presence across Arizona and the broader Mountain Region, this firm delivers a wide range of transportation projects for public agencies and municipalities throughout the state and region.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced traffic engineer to take ownership of projects, mentor staff, and contribute to the delivery of meaningful transportation improvements across diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver traffic design projects across Arizona and the Mountain Region
- Lead the preparation of traffic signal plans, signing and striping, traffic control, and roadway improvement packages
- Coordinate closely with internal design teams, clients, and agency stakeholders
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and technical quality
- Review technical deliverables and ensure consistency with standards and client expectations
- Mentor and support junior engineers as the team continues to grow
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Arizona PE or ability to obtain through comity
- 7+ years of traffic engineering experience, ideally with a design‑heavy focus
- Strong background in traffic design and plan production
- Familiarity with ADOT, municipal, and regional agency standards
- Experience working on projects throughout Arizona and/or the Mountain Region
- Excellent communication and project management skills
