Traffic Project Manager

We're hiring a Senior Design Engineer / Project Engineer to play a key role in delivering high‑quality civil engineering solutions from early concept through construction. In this position, you'll work closely with project managers, architects, owners, contractors, and permitting agencies to develop practical, cost‑effective designs and ensure smooth project execution. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include preparing and refining site, grading, utility, and stormwater designs; using AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create clear, accurate construction documents; identifying opportunities for cost savings and constructability improvements; coordinating and responding to time‑sensitive field changes; and visiting project sites as needed to review conditions and support construction decisions.

You'll be expected to clearly communicate technical implications-such as utility reroutes, sewer outfall adjustments, grading changes, and stormwater impacts-to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, helping teams make informed decisions quickly. This role is ideal for an engineer who can take ownership of projects with limited oversight, enjoys diving into details, performing calculations, and solving complex problems, and understands how thoughtful civil design directly impacts the success of building and development projects.

You'll thrive here if you value being a trusted advisor to clients, take initiative before being asked, work well in a collaborative team environment, and are comfortable participating in meetings, coordinating with agencies, and interacting with firm leadership and potential clients. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or similar platforms) is essential, along with a desire for ongoing professional development, real‑world learning, and career growth. Candidates preparing for or recently having passed the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam are strongly encouraged, as this role offers meaningful responsibility, variety, and the opportunity to see your work make a tangible impact in the built environment.
