My client, a well‑established, growth‑oriented engineering consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer to join its team in Peoria or Swansea. This role offers the opportunity to lead roadway and transportation projects, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development efforts across Illinois.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage transportation engineering and roadway design projects
- Prepare and review plans, reports, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations across multiple assignments
- Conduct site and field visits as needed
- Collaborate with and mentor engineers at various experience levels
- Support proposal development and participate in business development efforts
Minimum Requirements:
- 6-10 years of post‑graduation experience, with at least 3 years focused on roadway, street, and/or highway design
- Experience working with local government or transportation agencies
- Proficiency with MicroStation (Geopak, PowerGeopak, OpenRoads) and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
