Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Transportation Design Project Manager to lead roadway and civil engineering design projects. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage multiple projects, foster strong client relationships, and mentor team members while ensuring designs meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage transportation design projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Lead and mentor design teams, ensuring quality control and technical excellence.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and cross-functional departments.
- Oversee preparation of reports, technical documents, and project deliverables.
- Participate in RFP/RFQ development and project scoping.
- Ensure compliance with design standards and perform QA/QC reviews.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2+ years of design project management experience.
- Proficiency in CAD/BIM software.
- Preferred:
- 3+ years in roadway design and Wisconsin DOT projects.
- Experience with contracts, specifications, and PS&E.
- Civil 3D proficiency.
Location: Beloit, Janesville, or Elkhorn, WI (Hybrid potential).
