A leading general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects is looking for an experienced Tunneling Project Manager to join their team in Portland. What You'll Do:
- Lead all phases of tunneling projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and close-out.
- Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
- Drive safety compliance and implement risk management strategies.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment for tunneling operations.
- Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
Experience Needed:
- 8+ years in heavy civil construction, with at least 5 years focused on tunneling projects.
- Proven success managing large-scale underground or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of NATM, TBM, and other tunneling methods.
- Experience with geotechnical analysis and ground stabilization techniques.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and tunneling safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage budgets exceeding $50M and complex schedules.
