A leading general contractor in Redmond, WA is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee complex water infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and related civil works. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with a strong background in managing large-scale public utility projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of water infrastructure projects
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and contract administration
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Oversee procurement, change orders, and risk management
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project engineers and field staff
- Represent the company in client meetings and public agency interactions
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed
Experience Needed:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction
- At least 5 years of experience managing water infrastructure projects (e.g., water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines)
- Proven success managing public works projects with municipalities or utility districts
- Strong understanding of permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental requirements
- Experience with design-build and CMAR delivery methods is a plus
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- OSHA 30 certification and a strong commitment to jobsite safety
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
