Water/Wastewater Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support engineering efforts for water infrastructure systems, including pipelines, pump stations, and storage facilities
- Manage and execute design tasks for projects of varying complexity
- Develop feasibility studies, technical reports, design plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Oversee construction-phase services, including data analysis and technical documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success
- Conduct quality reviews of engineering deliverables and ensure compliance with industry and client standards
- Support permitting processes by coordinating with agencies, clients, and contractors
- Contribute to business development through client relationship management, proposal writing, and interviews
- Represent the firm in professional organizations and technical committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering (Master's preferred)
- Active California PE license in Civil Engineering
- 6-12 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure design (12+ years preferred for senior-level candidates)
- Proven track record in the design and construction of pump stations, pipelines, and water distribution systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and a proactive work ethic
