A leading infrastructure and environmental consulting firm is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to help grow its municipal water practice in Washington State. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on business development, client engagement, and technical project delivery for public sector water and wastewater infrastructure.
About the Role
This position combines strategic business development with hands-on project management. You'll work closely with municipal clients across Washington State to deliver planning, design, and construction-phase services for water and wastewater systems. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background, a passion for client service, and a desire to help shape the future of a growing practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts and build long-term relationships with municipal and utility clients.
- Manage the full lifecycle of water and wastewater projects, from planning and permitting to design and construction support.
- Oversee preparation of master plans, feasibility studies, and infrastructure assessments.
- Direct the design of water supply, storage, and distribution systems; wastewater collection and treatment systems; and related infrastructure.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to the strategic growth of the Washington State water practice.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State
- 12+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering
- 5+ years in a client-facing or business development role in the Washington State market
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
- Familiarity with Washington State regulatory frameworks and permitting processes
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, and related tools
