A well-established engineering consultancy is seeking a Water Project Engineer to join its Seattle-based team. This role is ideal for a mid-career professional with strong technical expertise in water infrastructure design and a passion for delivering sustainable solutions to public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the design of water infrastructure projects, including distribution systems, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
- Perform hydraulic modeling and system analysis to support planning and design efforts.
- Prepare engineering reports, technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct site visits and provide construction-phase support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- 6+ years of experience in water infrastructure design and project execution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., WaterCAD, InfoWater).
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team environment.
