Position Overview
As a Data Center Construction Project Manager with 5+ years of experience, you will be at the heart of planning, executing, and delivering large‑scale hyperscale data center projects. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, drive schedules, manage budgets, and ensure every aspect of construction meets world‑class performance standards. This role demands strong data center experience, technical leadership, and a solutions‑first mindset - those not aligned with these expectations should not apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to create and execute robust construction plans.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of sophisticated MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Conduct routine site inspections to evaluate progress, maintain safety compliance, and proactively identify risks.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, manpower, and milestones to keep complex builds on track.
- Coordinate procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery of critical materials and equipment.
- Review and approve drawings, specifications, and construction documentation to maintain quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and hands‑on leadership to construction teams throughout all phases.
- Perform risk assessments and drive mitigation strategies to overcome project challenges.
- Foster a collaborative environment built on communication, teamwork, and strong problem‑solving.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of data center construction project management experience.
- Deep knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, high‑intensity environments.
- Experience collaborating with subcontractors, vendors, and external consultants.
- Thorough understanding of relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
