About the Opportunity
An established, fast-growing AI and industrial technology platform is expanding its commercial team in Asia and is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager / Senior Manager with deep exposure to the manufacturing sector.
This role focuses on helping large manufacturers unlock measurable value from advanced analytics, industrial IoT, and digital energy solutions, supporting operational efficiency, asset performance, and decarbonisation initiatives.
The Role
You will own new business development and strategic account growth across manufacturing clients in the region. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you will translate complex technical capabilities into clear commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy focused on industrial and manufacturing clients
- Identify, qualify, and close enterprise-level opportunities across discrete, process, and hybrid manufacturing environments
- Build strong, consultative relationships with senior stakeholders including Heads of Manufacturing, Operations Directors, Digital Transformation Leaders, and Plant Managers
- Position AI-driven andIIoT-enabled solutions against key manufacturing challenges such as:
- Operational efficiency (OEE)
- Predictive maintenance
- Quality optimisation
- Supply chain visibility
- Energy and emissions management
- Lead complex, consultative sales cycles in close collaboration with technical pre-sales and solution architecture teams
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM reporting
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise B2B technology or software sales, with a consistent track record of closing complex deals
- Strong domain knowledge of manufacturing operations, KPIs, and industrial environments
- Proven experience selling into factories, plants, or large industrial organisations
- Ability to confidently communicate with technical and operational stakeholders, including familiarity with concepts such as:
- Lean manufacturing / Six Sigma
- PLC / SCADA environments
- Production scheduling and asset management
- Background selling SaaS / PaaS / Industrial Analytics / IoT / MES / Automation platforms is highly preferred
- Comfortable operating in a regional role with senior-level client engagement
