A well‑established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on infrastructure and site development projects in the Baltimore area. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader with strong experience in sitework, utilities, and roadway construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations on heavy civil and site development projects
- Supervise crews performing grading, utilities, paving, and concrete work
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and materials
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and per plans and specifications
- Work closely with project management, inspectors, and clients
- Lead jobsite safety efforts and enforce all safety protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Foreman or Superintendent in heavy civil construction
- Strong background in sitework, grading, and underground utilities
- Roadway or paving experience is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- OSHA certification preferred
