Senior Civil Engineer
Senior-level civil engineering role providing technical leadership and final design oversight for solar and battery energy storage projects. This position manages multiple concurrent projects and serves as a senior technical interface with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead, review, and stamp civil designs including grading, drainage, stormwater, erosion control, and roadways
- Perform and review engineering analysis, calculations, and energy modeling
- Oversee and mentor engineering staff; delegate and manage engineering tasks
- Develop, review, and peer‑review AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings
- Review geotechnical investigation reports and manage subconsultants
- Support equipment research, procurement, inspections, and commissioning
- Manage client communications and technical coordination
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 10+ years of industry engineering experience
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with grading, hydrology/drainage, stormwater, erosion control, and SWPPP
- Experience with gravel road design and civil site layouts
- Solar and battery energy storage project experience
- Engineering team leadership and oversight experience
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Preferred: NABCEP certification, NEC familiarity, OSHA‑10
