The Role
We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join a well-established water infrastructure team. This role will see you working across the delivery of major water and wastewater projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and water / wastewater treatment plants, supporting clients across the municipal and utility sectors.
You will play a key role in technical design, project delivery, and mentoring junior engineers, working closely with multidisciplinary teams from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver civil design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities
- Prepare and review detailed design documentation, reports, drawings, and technical specifications
- Coordinate with internal disciplines (mechanical, electrical, process) and external stakeholders
- Support project management activities including scope, programme, and cost control
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
- Engage with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities as required
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- 7+ years' experience working on water or wastewater infrastructure projects in Australia
- Strong technical background in pipeline design, pump stations, and/or treatment plant civil works
- Experience working with Australian standards and water authority requirements
- Proficiency in civil design tools (e.g. AutoCAD, 12d, Civil 3D or similar)
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- CPEng or working towards chartership highly regarded
