Summary
This role will lead complex environmental assessment and remediation projects while serving as a trusted technical and strategic advisor to clients, regulators, and internal teams. The position blends deep technical expertise with client management, mentorship, and business development responsibilities, and plays a key role in shaping project strategy and long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high‑profile environmental assessment, remediation, and risk‑based cleanup projects from planning through execution.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, regulators, and stakeholders, providing clear technical guidance and strategic insight.
  • Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide senior‑level technical oversight and review of reports, work plans, and regulatory submittals.
  • Develop and manage client relationships, including proposal development and project strategy.
  • Mentor, train, and support junior and mid‑level staff, helping develop future technical and project leaders.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, strategic growth efforts, and cross‑team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting with progressive technical and leadership responsibility.
  • Strong technical background in site assessment, remediation, and risk‑based corrective action.
  • Proven experience working within regulatory programs in North and South Carolina, including NC Brownfields.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage clients, lead multidisciplinary teams, and support business development efforts.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track record of mentoring and developing junior staff and leading teams successfully.
