Our client, a highly respected global engineering organization, is seeking a Senior Structural - Transmission Line Engineer to support major transmission infrastructure projects across North America. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned engineer to contribute to some of the industry's most complex and impactful initiatives while advancing their technical expertise and leadership capabilities.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will:
- Support engineering design and analysis across high‑voltage transmission scopes.
- Contribute to extensive 345kV+ rebuild and greenfield projects, including emerging technologies such as HVDC and 765kV.
- Perform advanced research, calculations, and data assimilation in alignment with industry standards.
- Develop recommendations for structural materials, equipment, and design approaches.
- Work within established budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to engineering team members and contribute to internal knowledge development.
- Engage with clients to understand project goals, drivers, and future needs.
- Support business development activities as required.
- Apply advanced engineering techniques to complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on design standards, engineering codes, and internal best practices.
- Support quality initiatives, process improvements, and risk‑management efforts.
- Prepare complex engineering deliverables across multiple or large‑scale projects.
- Lead or review advanced structural calculations and design outputs.
- Oversee data collection, modeling, validation, and documentation.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and assist in setting project plans and schedules.
- Identify and communicate key client interests, ensuring alignment throughout project execution.
- Serve as a technical specialist in a broad or niche engineering domain.
- Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, supporting their development and performance planning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience with 69kV-500kV overhead transmission line design.
- Proficiency with PLS software suites (PLS‑CADD, PLS‑POLE, PLS‑TOWER).
- Structural design experience for transmission steel structures and foundations.
- Familiarity with 3D structural analysis for steel and concrete.
- Prior client‑facing experience with demonstrated relationship‑building skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
- 11+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Ability to complete standard pre‑employment background and compliance checks.
Work Environment
Hybrid work options may be available following initial onboarding, dependent on performance and project needs.
