Air Quality Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Air Quality Project Manager to lead permitting and compliance projects across sectors such as power, industrial, manufacturing, transportation, and commercial development. This role offers a dynamic mix of technical work, client engagement, and project leadership within a growing environmental practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and submit air permit applications and supporting documentation.
- Conduct site assessments and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Estimate emissions including routine, greenhouse gases, and startup/shutdown scenarios.
- Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and client communications.
- Support preparation of multi-media environmental documents such as SWPPPs, SPCC Plans, and EPCRA filings.
- Maintain adherence to safety protocols and company standards.
- Contribute to other environmental initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience).
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience (10+ years preferred).
- Prior consulting experience in air permitting and compliance is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with federal and state air regulations, including Clean Air Act components such as NSR/PSD, NESHAP, NSPS, Title V, and Title VI.
- Experience with air dispersion modeling tools (e.g., AERMOD, CALPUFF, VISCREEN) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
