Remediation Project Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale sediment and upland remediation projects. This role is ideal for a technical expert with a proven track record in environmental consulting, project management, or engineering/scientific roles focused on sediment, soil, and water remediation. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex projects, mentoring staff, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multifaceted remediation projects involving contaminated sediment and upland sites.
- Serve as a technical authority or senior reviewer for projects, including those with beneficial reuse or coastal resilience components.
- Mentor and supervise junior and mid-level team members to foster technical development and project excellence.
- Apply scientific or engineering expertise to investigate and remediate contaminated soil, sediment, groundwater, and surface water.
- Develop and implement site characterization plans, including the preparation of QAPPs/FSPs in line with regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate sediment, soil, and water sampling programs, including laboratory collaboration.
- Contribute to all project phases, from feasibility and treatability studies to remedial design and construction oversight.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes and lasting partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting, project management, or related scientific/engineering roles.
- Demonstrated success managing complex contaminated site investigations and remediation projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- In-depth knowledge of EPA protocols and regulatory frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with PFAS investigation and remediation.
- Expertise in sediment management, including beneficial reuse, coastal resilience, or sustainable sediment strategies.
- Familiarity with ecosystem restoration, habitat enhancement, or integrated water resource management.
